We would like to interest
you in a unique, modern and exceptionally effective refurbishing and industrial equipment protection technology
utilising cold spray powders.
Traditional refurbishing methods can cause irreversible deformation or structural
change in base metal. Cost of machine wear and tear run into millions of dollars worldwide. Stoppages due do part failures
which necessitate replacement in order to maintain original machine performance limit productivity. Appropriate technologies
that make it possible to refurbish and regenerate worn parts have been developed. One of these methods is coating using cold
spray powders.
Alloy powder for anti-wear protective coatings can be applied on all types of metals, particularly in:
- Worn bearing surfaces
- Worn plunger pistons and cylinder liners
- wytartych tłoczysk siłowników hydraulicznych
- Worn press seats, slideways, sliding surfaces, and sealing surfaces
Protective coating is applied on surfaces that were damaged due to machining were,
corrosion, etc. This technology can be utilised to refurbish shaft sleeves, crankshafts, press pistons, plunger pistons, cylinder
liners, press seats, slideways, sliding surfaces, roller bearing races, trunnions, wear rings and sealing surfaces. Most of worn parts
that are usually disposed of can be refurbished. Significant cost savings can be achieved as in most cases cost of refurbishing is much
lower than the cost of replacing a worn part. A wide choice of spray material makes it possible to address most known problems associated
with refurbishing of worn parts.
Cold spray powder technology is especially suitable when deformation or structural change in base metal is not acceptable. Metal coat has
micro pores, which enhances its self-lubricating properties. Resultant coat is characterised by excellent resistance to abrasion, low
coefficient of friction, even under pressure, and good resistance to corrosion. Spraying invokes exothermic reaction that initiates
material fusion, which creates a bond between the base metal and the coat. Alloy powder for anti-wear protective coatings can be applied
on all types of metals, except pure copper. Resultant coat hardness varies (depending on part wear, operating conditions and expected
life cycle extension) from 20HRC to about 40HRC. Using this technology will allow you to substantially extend life cycle of expensive
parts in your machines.
